A significant number of
Brides say they have changed their mind about the importance
of video, moving it from a Top 10 to a Top 5 priority
service. The study, conducted between January 27 - February
5, 2003 by Breakthrough Marketing, Inc. (Des Moines, IA)
To hear the vows again
To remember all the little
things you did that you'd forget
To hear your parents and
grandparents comments
To see your childrens
reactions one day
To relive family members
that die
To have a record proving
he did indeed say those things
To show the family and
friends who couldn't be there
To have an excuse to invite
everybody over later
To show Dad what he got
for his money
To own an heirloom that
no money could replace
To video or not to video? That is the question
Why? There is no other component that can give
you more joy or impart more feelings of love or nostalgia. No other
component can transport you back in time, a virtual time machine
of memories and the love and laughter and heartfelt joy of family
and friends. There is no other component that with a push of a button
can make your wedding day, and all the people in it come alive.
All in all, there is not one other wedding component that has the
properties or capabilities of a video. Why would you think twice
about it?
If you had to choose between photography
and video , because of budget limitations, what should you do? Assume
you could have either a photo album or a video, of your grandparent's
wedding day, which one would you choose? If you could see and hear
your grand parents one more time, which would you prefer? If your
budget makes you choose, scale down your photography. Hire the photographer
for a couple of hours to take the ceremony shots and the family
groupings afterward. Put your money in your video.
